Audit finds problems with state contract that paid AT&T at least $72M

An audit of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission has revealed more concerns about how the agency handles contracts with vendors, this time over a contract with AT&T Global Services worth at least $72.5 million over a six-year period.
Texas State Auditor John Keel’s office uncovered unreported conflicts of interest and poor management that led to cost overruns, according to a report by the Texas Tribune.

Chuy’s ranks among restaurant chains with biggest revenue gains, report says

Chuy’s Holdings Inc., the Austin-based chain of Tex-Mex restaurants, is in rare company, according to stock market analysis website Benzinga.com.
Using data from Capital Market Laboratories, Benzinga notes that Chuy’s (Nasdaq: CHUY) is one of nine publicly-traded restaurant chains that has year-over-year revenue growth of 15 percent or higher.

Here are some recent year-end real estate transactions:

Mobile app maker Parking Panda to launch in Austin

Parking Panda, a mobile application designed to enable drivers to reserve parking places, plans to launch in Austin in January.
Baltimore-based Parking Panda Corp. has scheduled a statewide service in Texas that would include Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Fort Worth, Partner Account Manager Bryan Lozano said.

SailPoint Technologies Holdings Inc., an Austin software maker, has reported receiving a $247,902 financing.
