Austin accounting software firm raises millions to hire more workers

Qvinci Software LLC, a developer of bookkeeping software for businesses, collected a $3.4 million financing the company plans to use for a hiring spree.
The Austin company that was founded as QuickDash LLC underwent a re-organization earlier this year and replaced founding CEO Charles Nagel, who is now Qvinci’s chief innovation officer. Global sales exec resigns at Silicon Labs

A senior sales executive for Silicon Laboratories Inc. has departed the company. Where he’s going next is still unknown.
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales Kurt Hoff has “ceased to be employed by Silicon Laboratories,” according to a curt filing issued Friday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Company spokesman Dale Weisman said no other details are being disclosed.

ACC to help train workers for new 600-person factory

Austin Community College announced Wednesday that the Texas Workforce Commission awarded the school $1.7 million to help prepare manufacturing workers at Epic Piping for newly created jobs.

Houston luxury homebuilder expands into Austin

Houston-based Trendmaker Homes is set to start its first project in Austin.
The long-time homebuilder will build in the San Saba section of North Carolina-based Crescent Communities’ Belterra neighborhood, according to the company’s website. The community is located in the Dripping Springs area near Highway 290.
