Florida investor plunks down millions for huge Austin office asset

Florida-based real estate investor Accesso Partners LLC wasn’t done spreading its wings in Austin when it purchased the sizable Riata Corporate Park this summer for more than $100 million.
On Monday the company showed it’s even more focused on Austin by purchasing 7700 Parmer Lane. The price tag on that acquisition is likely closer to $200 million, based on tax valuations.
Accesso isn’t revealing financial details, but one thing is certain: The market newcomer is bullish on the Austin market.

ACC spends millions to grab key 124-acre site near Austin airport

Officials for Austin Community College confirmed that ACC has purchased a 124.1-acre site just east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to build a career-technical center.
The center will likely expand educational offerings in such programs as automotive technology, building construction technology, HVAC, welding and jewelry production.
ACC paid $10.5 million for the raw land, which is located on FM 973 about a half mile south of State Highway 71.
ACC was represented by CBRE Group Inc.

Perk buys second app developer in less than a week

Mobile app development platform Corona Labs was acquired on Monday for the second time in just over a year, this time by Perk, a cloud-based mobile rewards platform, for $2.3 million.
The Austin-based Perk will integrate its rewards platform into the Corona development platform, which would let mobile app developers build games with Perk’s monetization tools built-in. Trying to shore up Dell deal and boost VMware, EMC says it will keep majority stake in Virtustream

EMC Corp. will retain a majority stake in Virtustream as it tries to increase shareholder support for its sale to Dell Inc.
EMC said Tuesday that it will ditch its plan to place Virtustream in a joint venture with Palo Alto-based VMware, according to Reuters, citing sources close to the situation. Software services startup Innography acquired by British company

Innography Inc., a software services provider, said Monday it has been acquired by a British company.
The Austin startup was bought by CPA Global Ltd., an intellectual property software and services specialists based in the Channel Islands. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vista Equity Partners LLC is competing to acquire press release distributor PR Newswire Association LLC, according to Reuters.
The Austin-based private equity firm that specializes in technology deals is up against Cision AB, a division of GTCR LLC, a Chicago private equity firm.
