Astrodome bill OK’d by Texas Senate, moves to House

The Texas Senate has approved a bill that would require a public vote on plans to repurpose the Astrodome, the Houston Chronicle reports.
After the unanimous vote March 29, the Texas House will consider the bill next.
In September 2016, the Harris County Commissioners Court approved the first part of an $105 million project that would raise the floor of the Astrodome to ground level, creating more than 500,000 square feet of rentable space, as well as 1,400 parking spaces. The funding for the project…
