Flush with cash, Austin’s Vista Equity makes first investment from fund focused on smaller software makers

Vista Equity Partners, the tech-focused private equity firm based in Austin, has made the first investment from its Endeavor Fund aimed at smaller companies: Portland-based legal software maker Zapproved Inc.
Though the exact amount of the funding was not disclosed, the "strategic investment" gives Vista majority ownership of Zapproved, according to The Oregonian.
