Texas film industry calls on Gov. Abbott to increase funds set aside for incentives

Texas’ top politician had wanted to set aside $72 million for film and video game incentives in the next budget, but state lawmakers cut that drastically. The governor could use leftover money from other programs to fund the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program, so the film industry is lobbying hard to make that happen.
