Top Uber exec leaves company following report on workplace culture

The second-in-command and confidant to Uber Technologies Inc. CEO Travis Kalanick has left the embattled company.
Emil Michael, Uber’s senior vice president for business, said in an email obtained by the New York Times that David Richter, the current vice president of strategic initiatives, would take Michael’s place. Michael did not say in the email to Uber employees why he was leaving.
